Science with Ms. Gibson
Two students excited for science
Two students excited for science
In Hancock science classes, students have opportunities to use scientific tools like balances, rulers, thermometers, and hand lenses.  We are learning to use the inquiry method.   We ask questions about our world, and then do research and conduct experiments to discover the answers.  Each year students have the opportunity to participate in a science fair project which is presented
Ms
at an evening event for families.

Our garden had a successful year. We are now collecting seeds from the garden to use next year. Fourth grade classes have designed the annual parts of the garden for next spring. Sixth graders are working on a field guide for visitors and the second graders have planted tulip bulbs for the Journey North garden.
