Welcome to the Computer Lab

Students in grades 1-6 visit the computer lab in our prep rotation for 50 minutes, 5 days in a row.   They are taught by Ms. Wilson.  Students practice their skills to meet the technology standards in the following areas:  basic operations, graphics, keyboarding, Internet research and safety, word processing, spreadsheet, database and multi-media.  We also discuss ethical issues with computers and technology.

All lessons are integrated with classroom studies to teach computer standards. The software programs used include:  Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, Appleworks, i-Photo, i-Movie, i-Tunes,  Type to Learn, KidPix, Microworlds, Kidspiration and Inspiration.
